Joseph Carrillo is a composer living and working in Los Angeles. His music can be heard in numerous short films, original YouTube series, and on the concert stage and his most recent two feature films, the family drama Closer To God: Jessica's Journey, and the supernatural thriller The Hanged Man. Two projects for director Adam Hodge recently added to YouTube, showcase his compositional diversity: the gentle and emotional Baby of Mine and the action thriller The Darkling. He composed original music used in many of the Fine Brothers comedy series, including the fun new animated series, Emo Dad, the wickedly hilarious Platonic, and the ahead-of-its-time pilot My Profile Story, which also aired on Comedy Central as part of Atom TV. His piece Across An American Sky was one of ten chosen from more than three hundred submissions to be performed by The Orchestra Unleashed for their fall concert September 11 and 12, 2010. In 2009 he was commissioned to compose fanfares for the Special Olympics 2009 World Winter Games, which were performed by the Boise Philharmonic at the Opening Ceremonies held in Idaho. He has also completed scores for Coach, directed by Chris Hampel, Dead Line for director Carolyn Townsend. Dead Line was a particularly notable experience for Joseph, being his first film score recorded with a professional LA orchestra. Joseph currently has a full schedule of composing music both for film and for the concert stage. |
